The Lady Dawgs are Playoff Bound
The Lady Bulldog volleyball team is heading to the playoffs! Burnet's varsity Lady Dawg volleyball team defeated Marble Falls and Georgetown Gateway last week to improve their district record to 8-0! Both victories came in sweep fashion, 3-0. The Lady Dawgs have two district games remaining but have already clinched a playoff spot. They will travel to Lampasas on Tuesday and host Lago Vista on Friday. Football weather finally arrived on Friday, and fans had to bundle up for the Burnet versus Marble Falls game at Mustang Stadium. The Bulldog football team will return to their home field this Friday night when they host the Lampasas Badgers. This is a huge game, and the Dawgs would love to have your support. Burnet EDC earns a Division I
Hoot-N-Holler
The Burnet Esprit De Corps hosted the UIL Region 32 Small School Marching Contest on Saturday at Bulldog Stadium. The competition featured 2A San Saba and Mason, 3A Llano and Florence, and 4A Burnet, Lampasas, Lago Vista, and Marble Falls. The Esprit De Corps earned a Division 1 at the Region Marching Contest which advances them to the Area D Marching Contest on October 31st. Congratulations to the EDC on another outstanding achievement. The Burnet swim team hosted more than 300 athletes for their annual Hoot-N-Holler meet. Clark Yanez led the boys' team who qualified for regionals after earning the district championship and Brekyn Langley finished in the top ten individually to earn a spot at regionals as well. Cross Country earns regional berth
Head Football Coach Ben Speer marches his team on to the field at Mustang Stadium on Friday night. The Bulldogs suffered their first district loss to the Stangs dropping their record to 1-1. They host Lampasas this week with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The Badgers will enter the game at 0-2 in district and both teams will be fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.
